Yes, they are definitely worth checking out. I've owned the power screamer and it was a very nice pedal (but didn't stand out against my other overdrives at the time and I sold). The psilocybe phaser has been on my board for over two years now and has completely ended my gas for other phasers.

I absolutely hated their "screamer" pedal. YMMV.

+1 on the Psilocybe. I love the pedal, can't stand the color. Paid an extra $50 for a custom color and couldnt be happier. Covers all my phaser needs and more.

...using the Three Hound Chorus here on my board. Love it.

What effect are you looking for in particular?

Interesting... the Power Screamer is one of my favorite OD's. A TS on steroids with more gain. Great pedal IMO.

The Psylocibe gets great reviews on here as well. HBE makes awesome pedals in general, and they don't get enough props on TGP.

Excellent pedals. The Power Screamer is a fine pedal as is the Germania and the Comp-Retro is one of the coolest compressors I have used. Joel is great too and he will do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy with his products. All good :)

I had one but sold it. It was very chewy, which I liked, but it seemed to be a bit chorusy (is that a word?). I like a "pure" phase sound.

I played the FULL METAL JACKET at the LA Amp Show and was impressed.

Big D is a really sweet and versatile dirt pedal.

If you like the tone of your amps to begin with you'll really love the Power Screamer or the Uno Mos.

The UFO fuzz is the best fuzz i've played also. I use at least 1 Homebrew pedal on about every song I record! You can learn about my gear & get some reference tones at www.soultostrings.com when you have a moment.

    +1..
have had this pedal on my board for a few years now. works great for raw rock & roll tone. the way I have it set makes it sound really close to a treble booster kinda thing. and the "bigger" circuit is cool too. bumps the gain and the level at once..
I love this pedal. currently using it with my Reeves custom 30.
I'll also nominate Joel (the owner) as a kick ass dude.

I owned a FMJ for a week. It was a huge disappointment. Only one sound inside. It's not a bad tone, but for a boutique pedal, it should do more than that, imo.

On the other had, Homebrew makes some really good pedals. I own a Germania treble boost, and it is killer.

HomeBrew Electronics are among the best pedals out there, IMHO.

My main board uses the Power Screamer, UFO, Germacide and Big D.

My backup board has a UFO, Germania and Wah.
