i am building a strat-copy single, single, humbucker guitar. i am using 500k pots (one vol, one tone).

what value of capacitor should i use? .22? .44? something else?

With the tone pot on 10, no difference.

As you turn it down (between 10 and about 4-6, depending on the specific pot and its taper), a very small difference, with bigger caps cutting slightly more treble than smaller ones.

From about 4-6 to 0, a big difference, with bigger caps cutting a lot more treble than smaller ones.
