I need some help amp shopping. Here's what I'm looking for. I prefer combo amps but would be open to a head. I need to definitely stay under $1000 and preferably well under that. I'm open to used gear as well. I would want to get all my drive from the amp so I can sell some of my pedals to help finance. I like that classic rock, Marshally kind of tone. I'd also like on-board reverb. I don't need anything really loud. For reference, my HR Deville is way too much amp for me. I've never had it over 3. Just as long as I can get out in front of a band for solos. I think it would be cool to have an amp with multiple wattage settings but I don't necessarily need that. I play classic rock, blues, country, and worship music.

I appreciate any advice you guys could give!

I'm thinking a used Mesa Mini Rectifier head and 1x12 cab could do this. Multi-wattage power from 25 loud watts to 5 via switching. Tons of tones and a great little amp. The smaller Mesa combos could work used too...no verb on this, but a single pedal in the loop solves the issue.

Mesa Transatlantic TA-30. Used heads go for around $800, with the combo around $1000 on ebay.

Any reason you aren't already considering a Marshall DSL15C for $600 new?

It switches down to 10W, not 5, and it affects more how the amp feels more than anything else. The rest is spot on; I love mine; such a versatile amp. Finding a head and cab for under $1000 used might be difficult, though.

Fender Prosonic has 30 class A tube rectified/50 class AB tube rectified/60 watt class AB SS rectified settings, the combo has reverb, and both channels sound great. You can find one used for well under $1000, usually going in the $500-$700 range. I've got 2 of them and both are keepers.
