I have a line 6 spider iv 120 watts, i like it, but... i´m looking for a very trebly tone, very high tone, a tone where i don´t need to put much pressure in the strings in order to play, a tone where any mistake would pup out from my amp, a tone with a lot of clarity (i play with high dostortion). First, i was thinking in buying a EQ or a set of Dimarzio Evoultion Pickups (right know i have alnico v magnet pickups), but i think that i need a new amp, maybe a tube amp, i don´t know, what are your suggestions or am i ok with the amp and the soultion would be buying new pickups or EQ?

    Thanks...

Yeah, I would get rid of that amp and look into tube amps. No EQ or set of PUs is going to make that amp sound good.

I suggest that you get a Vox Night Train 15 watt and a 1x12 cabinet loaded with a Celestion speaker. Get the chrome one, which is the earlier model.

As for the Line 6 Spider, you should encase it in concrete, charter a fishing boat and drop it into the ocean, just off the continental shelf.

Very trebly and very high distortion. Ick. Don't do it. Seriously. Don't.

Anyway, do you want this amp for around the house or performing? Do you want the amp to generate the distortion or are you using pedals. Head and cabinet or combo?

Trebly is very subjective. When you say that what do you mean as a comparison? Also, what constitutes high distortion as a comparison? To my mind high distortion and very trebly tone are not something that sounds pleasant.
