I'm guessing the Boss DM-2W Waza will be, considering the Aqua Puss was based on the original DM-2.

I did say i was only guessing. And while it may not be the same chip, the video clips sound pretty good, though we'll not know for sure until it's actually released and we get to try it. But i'm pretty hopeful, and holding off picking up an original DM-2 until i've had a chance to try the new one.

I'm hopeful, too. I am planning to try one for sure! I'm not sure it's going to have quite the same sound but I am optimistic it will be a great delay.

mkII uses a different chip and a different compander so it really only shares the same name...

Now you're just being argumentative. They're different delays. How does the Carbon Copy sound compared to the DM-2? Move on.

I've heard both compared and had an original, they are not the same sounding.

the old aqua puss was a dm-2 copy

there's always a good clean dm-2 around for $250 or less

the dm-3 is a real good one, too
