What are the BEST Beatles basslines?

I have always liked (and ripped off) the bassline from Ballad Of John & Yoko.

Yes, it's a tad generic but it has a very laid back yet powerful feel. It phrasing fits perfectly with the rhythm guitar.
I want to say John played bass on that one- he did everything except the drums and backing vocals, which were both Paul. No George or Ringo on that tune.

I Saw Her Standing There
Twist and Shout
She Said She Said
With A Little Help From My Friends
And Your Bird Can Sing

Not the best, but I do a solo acoustic version of the Abbey Road B Side Medley and I had to figure out a way to incorporate the bassline from Mean Mr. Mustard as it really does make the song.

I am a bona fide Beatles nut. I could never list all the songs that have great bass lines. I don't have that kind of time. No way I could narrow it down even really.

Digging seeing what you guys say though.

You listen to them and it really hits you, there could be no more perfect bass part to fit that song.

Then try singing lead vocal and try to stay in the pocket.

I can cover the bass parts, but Paul's vocals

When i was like 10 or 11 and getting my first stereo and records, i'll never forget hearing the bass line to 'dear prudence'. At that moment, the concept of bass guitar sounding percussive by synching with kick drum gelled in my head, although i had not yet ever played anything but piano.

That secondary verse bass line in Taxman is killa.

Nowhere Man is a favorite of mine.

Great bass line although it's hard to hear in this live version.

You know, Paul McCartney was one of James Jamerson's favorite bass players.

Y'all know who James is I hope.

Sit down and learn the bass part on Nowhere Man. Lennon wrote a great song, but the bass part really takes it to another level. It is also a ton of fun to play when you get it locked down.
