Pushbullet & Pocket have changed my world. Swype changed how I type.

I use that occasionally too, when I'm not texting, surfing, playing games, listening to music, streaming podcasts or watching videos.

I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on a phone just so I could call people, I want to text them quad-HD instagram memes of cutesy cats while using it as a second screen for my gaming console

Why don't you go back to the 1980's with your so called 'Phone' and talk about how much you loved the latest laserdisc movie, it's gonna catch on for sure :D

androids can make phone calls? that would explain the icon and number pad, I'll have to try that tomorrow. I thought it was just a tiny pocket computer that could play music and be a compass. who woulda thunk it? what will they think of next? a phone that can take photos? now that would be amazing.

I'm not a big apps guy...I tend to set up my phone with what I need where I need it, and that's the way it stays (save for an occasional game here and there). Having recently switched to Android, it took some time to find the right apps for me, but I'm pretty happy now.

Aside from staples like FB, Twitter, Pandora, Netflix etc.. some favorites are:

    GNotes
    gStrings
    Gmail
    Chrome
    Office Mobile
    Calendar Widget: Month+Agenda

if your phone has an LED flash for the camera there is no need to download a flashlight app. also you can load a blank white page on your browser, bookmark it and make a shortcut for a nice low light dim flashlight. works good for a nice dim light that isn't too bright.
