Only a few of mine have names, Hannah so named because it kind of reminds me of an older BMW I used to own that came pre-named:

    Surfy because it's Surf Green:

And Corey because it was supposed to be Coral, but it was part of that funky batch from Reranch a couple years ago:

I have a lot of Charvels, so I refer to them by their years or serial numbers. "The 79", or "1652".

Only one has gotten an "official" name from me, I dubbed my Peavey Tracer "The Pink Nightmare" because it's so very wrong. You can see it in the ugly finishes thread lol. Great guitar though, I love it!

Other than that, I just call them by their model name or if I have more then one of a model I go by color. For example, I have two strats, ones I call "the surf green strat" and the other is "the sunburst strat"

    No names. I mostly have vintage Ibanez models, and all have model numbers. So I own a 2630, a 2622, a 2619, a 2375, an MC400NT, etc.

Thumper is a telecaster, the name is after a stripper with a rabbit tattoo on her vuh j j out of a great novel by danielewski. Highly modified and not taken great care of, still gorgeous much like the character.

Clementine is my number one, she's a strat like any other that I just managed to get lucky with. Named after a character in my favourite film, whose opposite character shares my name.

Elizabeth is another telecaster, also not a run of the mill kind of tele, named after my favourite female character in a book published 1813 - idealism at its best.

I've only named guitars I know I'll never sell.

This causes a wave of nausea to shudder violently through me. Guitars are inanimate object without gender. I have guitars that have been with me for twenty years or more, yet I cannot conceive of any level of such personal sentimentality projected towards a musical instrument. Hell, I never even named my cat (He is the only cat in my house. When I say "Here, kitty", he is the only cat who responds, making a proper name superfluous!).

And, yes; I know Keef names his guitars. However, he has an excuse...he is British!

My dear old mother used to coerce her old Buick to start up or make it up a steep hill with "C'mon ol' Betsy, you can do it". I can only surmise she chose "Ol' Betsy" as an alternative to "You f*cking piece of sh*t" out of some old school, feminine sense of propriety.

Fender, Suhr and Gibson. I've never personally named my guitars.

Haven't decided on this one. Help me out. Shelby maybe? Kinda looks like the paint scheme on a well loved sports car.
