What effects do you have that add noise to the chain? Does it drive you crazy like it does me? My delay is noisy when I stop playing, it really bugs me!

Any treble booster, but it's just the nature of the beast. I accept it.

I've got a digital delay which is noisy when engaged, especially with OD engaged. It mainly functions as a splitter to send my signal to two amps and I usually just use it for clean pristine delays. Also have one of the new Cool Cat Distortions and that's pretty noisy when I'm not playing - I just try to kick it off when I stop playing. I also have a modded Fab Echo slapback which has I altered to get a 100% wet mix - that introduced a lot of hiss from the lo-fi digital chip; so I have to set the mix knob to a point where the signal to noise is tolerable. But yeah; I don't like noise I wish all pedals, amps and pickups etc where totally silent when I'm not playing.

toadworks mad dog fuzz. . . god, i love the sound but if you use it with ANY other pedal, ANYWHERE in the chain, it picks up radio stations from mars, no matter how low or high the fuzz is set. so, while were on the subject. . .

. . . does anyone know how to remedy this? if not. . .

. . . anyone wanna buy a toadworks mad dog fuzz?

i guess they like barry manilow ALOT on mars.

By noisy, it's important to distinguish between hiss or buzzing.

That's so odd ... I thought of mine as very quiet (for a 4 transitor fuzz) ... much quieter when compared to some other ones.

Unfortunatly my BSIABII that I resently built is a bit noise. Really shows any little bit of ground noise when my hands are off my guitar.

Won't keep me from playing it, cause it's a killer pedal. But it's definitly noisier than my other ODs/Distortions. I hear it's just the nature of this muamp jfet style distortion.

Durham Crazy Horse is the noisiest pedal I've ever used.
Of course, there's a good reason for that, since it's part of the sound they were after when designing this pedal :AOK

Probably my Roger Mayer Classic Fuzz. Sounds great but I cannot put up with the noise when paired up with a boost (especially a treble booster since they have a little bit of noise by nature) which is a big reason I got a Sunface.
