    None of the above...

Everly B-52's - best electric strings I've used in 35 years of playing guitar.

I personally like the Boomers 11's for the 50 low E.... Not as floppy... That's just me though... I actually like a 52 because I drop D a lot for the Doyle Bramhall II style stuff.

    None of the above.

    Pyramid
    and/or
    Snake Oil Brand

after years and years (and years) of other manufacturer's strings (Ghs, D'Addario, DR, Ernie ball, DM, you name 'em), the Pyramids and the SOBs are the best that I have found for me.

Yeah... was toying with the idea of a heavier low E & if I do, I'll hafta try the Boomers.

I urge any of you guys playing any of the string set choices to give SIT Nickel Power Wounds a try. The SITs are in the same price range, are much smoother to the touch and last about 50% longer in terms of keeping tone and tuning.

They were spec'd on my Grosh which is good enough for me. Only string brand I've used since getting my first Grosh guitar. They go on every guitar play now.

ps: no affiliation with SIT whatsoever. Just trying to pass along possibly another and potentially better product for others to try.

Huge +1 on that. I really liked the Firewire's 3x durability, but I left 'em on TOO long, and they stained my maple neck green: F**k! I also got defective strings in both Firewire and Elixir packs: lame. :FM :jo
