    Hey guys and girls.
I just took out this microphonic humbucker from one of my guitars. Do any of you knowing people know what it is? It's got two screw "coils" or whatever it's called.
It is not the standard pickup for sure. I took it out of my Tokai ALS-50 MIC.
    Thaks :)

I may be wrong, but it looks to me like someone had the cover off and re-soldered it. The sides are spread a little where you'd pry on it while heating the joint to remove it, and the solder spots are a bit raggedy.

Thanks a lot! I was told that they were Gibsons, but I wasn't sure. The cover was very loose. In fact I removed it without the use of soldering iron or razor blade.
Is it possible that the loose cover alone was the cause of it being microphonic?

    That would do it.

When you put it back together, a little silicon between the underside of the cover and the top of the bobbins will keep the cover from vibrating.

When you put the cover back on...bend the sides of the cover in a little, then use a little clamp to keep it held to gather. Use a rag or something on the top of the cover to keep the clamp from denting the cover.

They're pretty cool sounding pickups in the right guitar.

Thanks again. It's nice to know where to find some expertise!
I might aswell just keep it in its raw and uncovered form :) Maybe I should replace my stock Epi bridge pup in my LP with the Dirty Finger...
