What do these numbers, on average, represent?

Because it doesn’t interest me. No disrespect to those who put their music up here, but I come to this forum to discuss gear and music topics, not to listen to other folk’s music.

I made a conscious effort last year to go listen to the Members Clips section more often. I kept up with it for a while, but kind of fell off. I do like poking around there, I should get back to it.

I noticed this also on other guitar sites. The gear sections have about ten zillion more views than the members' clips. It's obviously evidence of some gnostic, esoteric, evolutionary phenomena that we have yet to understand...

The more zeroes you include the more it represents an average approaching zero.

We need radio, maybe payola, to get music in front of people.
Listening to music is like watching sports; the good stuff is great but much of it is routine and much more fun to do oneself than to watch.
In this (most) forum there is no interaction for the listener vs active forums debating the merits of 'xxx' and airing personal war stories.
There are already over 35 million songs on Spotify. (last year)
4 million had never been played (as of a few years ago).
In overall terms the market has long since been saturated with music.
