Something like that... I mean, by "most popular" I can only assume the OP means "best selling" and so, you know, the most likely means the Boss version of each type of pedal, with a pedal from one of the other major manufacturers -- Ibanez, Dunlop/MXR, EHX -- making an appearance here and there on the list.

But anyone who answers the question and isn't looking at comprehensive, international sales figures is just inventing an answer with no actual knowledge of what's most popular. If the OP is talking about "most popular on TGP" well, that's a different matter largely unrelated to what's most popular across the universe of all guitarists.

This is actually a pseudo-interesting topic. I know what I like, I think I have a pretty good handle on what's popular on this forum...but I don't think I have any real idea what the "most popular pedals are" in terms of the entire guitar-playing world, especially if we're talking specific models and such.

From that standpoint, if I were to guess...maybe the Boss TU-2??
