    Hi guys,

have been trying to figure out what effect the guitarist is using to achieve the effect in the section of this video (begins at 2:02, so pls allow the video to load):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPThG3-jSUE

It's the bridge section of the song, which goes "Lord, you're more than enough for me...", and i'm not after the distortion tone, but the repetitive effect.

Is it a filter/trem of some sort? Can't just be delay right?

    Thanks.

I don't here anything special. Just picking technique... finger pluck that whole section on 2 strings.... (I'd use a pick and middle finger same time)... just keep up.

i think no effect or maybe a TS???
Anyway don't forget what your hands can do. Take a look at this and forget about the singer...

I know for sure that this dude is only using a TS-9 or a BD-2 depending on his mood.

no effect - just a pick and two or three fingers.

But I gotta say - that whole thing really bothers me......just weird.

Any yea its just a repetitive claw technique probably on the 2nd and 3rd strings. Kind of like what Angus is playing at the beginning of For those about to rock.

That Vidar Busk clip saved this thread for me. Sounds like the guitarist is just using technique to play. Unfortunately there is no boutique pedal for that! LOL...

Light reverb or delay trails? But nothing over the top.

completely uncalled for. If you can't answer the question why take the trouble to respond this way?

If you don't put P+W in the title you're gonna get responses like these.

seriously though, would that help? I thought this place was supposed to be free from religious-bias. I was just asking a simple Q, and there were those helpful enough to provide insight (much appreciated, guys). I guess there will always be douches, just like at Walgreen's. I'm easy. :)

The question had nothing to do with the type of music/artist that was in the clip. If everyone needs to be "warned", then I will insist on being warned when there is rap or 'screamo' crap in the clip too.
