I have a used Jackson Ampworks Newcastle 30 on the way. I currently have the Newcastle 18, but wanted the added features of Master Volume and the effects loop. The 18 watt is definitely some EL84 goodness.

If I could, it would be a Matchless HC-30 and 2x12 rig. But it's not been a great year, so maybe next year ...

I already own one, but for anyone looking for a 2xEL84 Vox style amp, the Magic Amps Crossroads should be at the top of your list.

What I do need is a 4xEL84 amp, and will likely go to Goodsell for that.

What MHG said...Magic Amps Crossroads. Though I played a Dr. Z Maz 18 jr. that surprised me. Maybe it shouldn't have but it really did. Nice price too. Santa??

I've been looking at tons of el84 based amps to possibly replace my Dr. Z Monza.... maybe something easier to tame in the house (not gigging) and at the very least has an effects loop.

I want another AC30 but I sold my first one because it was too loud.

    They're still too loud.

Wish I played gigs where I could use one though.

Nothing else sounds like an AC30...certainly not an AC15!

Though it's not what the phrase "EL84 amp" typically brings to mind, I really want a Rectoverb 25.
