What finish is used on the G&L's?? Poly/Nitro

    I have looked and looked and I can't seem to find the answer!:confused: Does anybody know what kind of finish they use on the Bluesboy(made in USA) in particular?? Help me please so I can stop going crazy!!:crazy

    i'm almost certain it's not nitrocellulose

    Must be poly on the body... shouldn't make you go crazy though :BITCH(unless you are going to try and refinish it using a hand sander like I did to my Peavey Predator)

    Anybody ever take a chemistry class?
    Scotch tape, dammit! That's what they used! covered it with scotch tape and then fused it with a propane torch. Better than Nitro!:jo

    most peple here (not all) refer to polyester as "poly"

    My 81 G&L Skyhawk checked like a LP in a matter of about a year. I am 100% sure it was nitro. Poly doesn't check like that, does it?
