Fender 57 Reissue Strat and a Dr Z MAZ jr - fantastic amp! Miss it!
Fender Strat AVRI57 (1993 era), which was my only guitar.
Marshall JCM900 MKIII 2501 (50W 1x12" combo), which was my only amp.
Some Dunlop JH wah, which was my only effect.
Three Fender cables.
A cheap Korg tuner (not pedal).
A Yamaha MT100II 4-track cassette recorder with the cheapest Shure mic anyone could buy back in 1994, for my recordings.
And that was all. In fact that was pretty much my setup from 1994 to around 2006.
I was playing with the Wildbunch, which would become Electric Six a couple years later, using:
MIM 50th Anniv Strat
Some solid state Marshall Combo
Blue Grey Sovtek Big Muff
Digitech Delay (the blue one with the two foot switches)
The strat and the amp would get stolen soon after when I drunkenly left them at a venue for almost a week! Ahhh. That strat was good a good strat, it really was.
'98 Fender California Strat (still have it)
'94 Ibanez GR542 Ghostrider
Fender acoustic of some description
Marshall Valvestate V65R.
Boss CE3, Dunlop Crybaby, Boss MT2, Boss ME30
Gibson Junior '63 which I bought in 1984. When I say '63 the only thing '63 about it was the wood. It had been converted to a two humbucker set up and at some point I'd put a JB in the bridge which worked incredibly well in that guitar. Now retired due to one too many headstock mishaps.
A 1983 JV Strat as a back up which was rarely used. Still have it but never play it.
Laney VC50 2 x 12 combo. Monster of an amp. I sold it, missed it, and bought another one. My first one was pretty noisy but the new one was much better in that respect. Sold many years ago to fund a Cornford combo that I sold three years ago.
Martin D-35. Times were simpler then.
USA Strat into an Ampeg Jet from the mid '90s
I had an Epiphone LP100 which was a Les Paul style but a bolt-on, i believe upgraded with a Duncan Distortion. I think i got a MIM telecaster that year too.
I hadn’t picked up guitar yet. Didn’t start playing until 2002.
I had a black Squier strat and a small Crate SS practice amp - and I loved them both!
Classical by American Luthier Gregory Byers.
I also had a great Les Paul Special in those days, too, although some knucklehead had carved out the P-90s and thrown in DiMarzio 'buckers.
2000 Fender Telecaster
Line 6 Duoverb Amp
1999 Tacoma DR 20 Acoustic Guitar
Strat 1978 with EMGs
1999 Gibson Les Paul Special (see avatar)
Peavey Classic 30
88 Ibanez RG550
99 Fender AMDX Fat Strat
Wow...gotta think about this...
Fender American Std Strat
Fender Power Chorus Amp
Handful of Boss Pedals
I own none of those anymore and have gone down the boutique/small builder hole across the board...I still have a handful of solid Boss pedals though.
At that time I mainly played an ESP LTD, and got an Ibanez Jem a few years later around 2002 or 3. Dont have either now. I also briefly had a pretty nice Thinline Tele but was a shallow metalhead at the time mostly and didn't realize what I had at the time and got rid of it quickly. I was 16 in 2000.
My main amp was a Crate Blue Voodoo. Also had a little 1x12 Crate GFX practise amp that finally died on me a few years ago.
Same 1993 SAtrat I still gig, a MV Twin Reverb, and a Tube Screamer. Now play a Deluxe Reverb and have a few more pedals.
I was 19yrs old. I had an Ibanez AX7221, a 100 watt SS Crate head, and a Marshall 4x12.
I got the Crate and 4x12 with my first tax refund check. It was like $325 bucks. I didn't have any pedals, but didn't need any either. That Crate had some gain.
1994 Squier Strat (Kora..Plywood)
1996 Squier Jazz Bass (Korea...plywood)
1981 Acoustic Control Corporation 124 (Solid State)
Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-9
All the equipment I had.
Had killer tone....not lol
Still have the bass and amp (for memories only) ...The Strat got nicked from a shared band practice room in 2006.
