It defined, to me, way back in the day before the day..ooooh...what a good guitar was supposed to look like.

Yep. It's been on a number of covers for many years. It was a gift to Mel Bay, and now his son owns it. One of the major magazines (I think Guitar Player) did a short profile of this guitar a few months ago. I'll see if I can find the issue.
