hello ! just a little game to pass the time in COVID 19 isolation
basically is like the "who would you kiss, marry , kill ?" game
choose the one guitarist you would love to hang out with
another one to jam with and another to write with ! -if you are feeling generous add a reason for each-
    for me it would be
hang: dave grhol -he looks like a really nice dude-
jam: tom morello- he is very original
write: john frusciante -he is a melodic genius , also my favorite guitarist ;p

*You have to pick three different guitarists

Does it have to be a guitarist?
If not, I call Herbie Hancock.
If you're going to be all tyrant-y about it, Pat Metheny would be able to play down to my level spectacularly.

Hang: John Mayer. He doesn't drink which made me second guess this one, but we're about the same age and seem to enjoy the same pop culture references so that would be cool.

Jam: Someone who plays in a completely different style than me. Like Lyle Lovett or something. That would be weird and random.

    Write: Paul McCartney, because duh!

I would totally pick a drummer first. Steve Jordan, Steve Ferrone, Anton Figg, Keltner, etc.

Playing Monkey Man with Charlie Watts? Oh yeah, would pick that over playing with any guitarist.

Hang: Tobias Forge - I'm not cool enough to be in his presence, but I have a lot of questions I'd ask him. Also he seems pretty personable.
Jam: Jeff Loomis - Ditto for all I said above, but I'd think maybe .5% of his greatness would rub off on me being in the same room? He is such a monster player.
Write: Dave Mustaine - He has written a lot of great songs. He is a great player, but he has something beyond all that. He has a way of making crazy chaotic stuff come together.

Heck, this could be a long list. I'd love to meet David Gilmour or Billy Gibbons in any capacity. Misha Monsoor is from pretty close to where I live, it would be great to meet him. I am regretting not going to see Periphery recently where their singer was sick and it was all instrumental. That had to be a big guitar fest.

OK, I read the whole post this time.
Hang with Roger Waters - I have many questions. (what - he plays guitar too)
    Jam with David Gilmour.
Write with Dweezil, or Frank if we can go there.

Dave Navarro from the first three Jane's albums was my first thougt. Matt Pike was my second, then Josh Homme. Then a cascade Nick DiSalvo, Neil Fallon, Bill Kelliher, Nicke Andersson, The.Rev James Rota, Frank Zappa (though I am not near worthy), Jerry Reed (also not worthy), and so many others

We had a thread like this the other day and for me it's still George Benson.
