BiValve for Dan Tyack on steel and Landreth.

I'd hazard a guess that som one has one...Lerner used to have one.

Hey.....thought that guy looked familiar! I did a gig with Dan Tyack once........he played great, although having TWO steels in a Western Swing band was a bit tough on the old "intonation-meter"......lol

    What was the event?

That was a big slide festival in Holland I believe.
Dan is an amazing player, love the boat load of steel he does with the Campbell Brothers.

And the kicker...you just know Sonny sounded just as good without that ultra high-dollar hardware.

You'll LOVE the show. I've seen him 3 times in concert. The first 2 times I never payed much attention to guitars and amps, but after seeing him, I got into the stuff. The last time I saw him was at the Mishawaka with John Hiatt. I stood just a few feet away and stared in awe.

Have fun at the show, and congrats to you Ed!

    cool!

my univalve has some of the characteristics of my d*mble 'clone'.
not an easy amp to play, but rewards good technique and ability to 'shape' notes. if my guitar sounds tinny, the amp sounds tinny. if the guitar sounds warm, the amp sounds warm. fluid OD tone if fluid is part of ones vocabulary.

plus, the THD amps look pretty cool and every time i take mine out the engineer guys get all curious. frickin' gearheads...

the dumble was riding shotgun at crossroads 07 to a matchless lightning i think.

Is sonny running that through the twin speakers or is he jumpering them?

Boy would I have loved that show!
I've seen Sonny play through many different rigs- he always sounds great.
I remember reading that his Matchless is a DC30 housed in a head cab. I guess that makes it an HC-30 although it didn't start out that way.
Sonny will sometimes rent a Twin and use OD pedals, I've seen him use a Marshall for OD and a Crate for cleans into a 4x12 cab.
Gotta say he sounded the best to my ears through the Dumble, but I'm sure he was killin through the BiValve too.
Hey Scott- bring it to the Amp Show- I'd love to check it out!
