I've met some nice people here, made a few trades, ranted in some posts....

But when I really sit down in front of my computer on these long, wintery days and really ponder about it, I say to myself.. "What have I learned here? What has TGP done for me?"

Whenever I think about this site, only two words come to mind....

:bitch SKREDDY and TONEBENDER :bitch

I've seen those two words enough times here that I feel like i'm going to puke my guts out.

I've never owned a Skreddy nor have the intentions of buying one. Yet, i've somehow been forced into believing it's the best brand somehow (when it's not) just because it's talked up so much here. This site should be called The Skreddy Page

I've learned that there are alot of idiots on this forum as well. Everyday I see new threads which read:

-Post Pics of your Skreddy Pedals (does it matter what they look like?!)

-Post your non-fuzz pedalboard (wow....)

-The Gut Pics Thread (seriosuly?)

-Analogman vs. Fulltone (pick what you think sounds best dummy!)

-Which guitar picks should I buy (the worst thread ever) :jo

-What's in the Mail (who gives a crap?)

The list of pathetic, newb threads just goes on and on and on.

Basically what TGP has done for me is nothing.... You guys get my point.

You don't get to see the good stuff until you become a supporting member. Duh!

I thought this was going to be a good natured thread about the good experiences we've had on this site. Totally took it the other direction. Hope you get to having a better day. Oh and Skreddy, John Mayer, and Dumble.

I have only one regret...and that is my handle is TOO CLOSE TO YOURS! Folks, please don't ever get us confused- Stratman76 is WAY different than Stratman69.

Dude, your statement is equivalent to saying you hate cable/satellite TV because the Food Network is among the channels broadcast and you believe cooking is a trite/meaningless endeavor. Change the freakin' channel if you don't like a thread! Besides, there hasn't been a Skreddy thread started here in at least three days! (Maybe I'll start one...moo-hoo-ha-ha!)

What TGP has meant to me...
All of my gear purchases that I've made since I joined have been based on either recommendations or have been greatly influenced by information I've gotten right here in TGPLand. There are so many experienced players here who are so willing to share valuable information. I've learned so much- both the quality and breadth of my tonal range has improved significantly as a result. THANK YOU ALL for being so gracious, forthright, generous and I'd even say compassionate in your effort to help those who seek knowledge! Merry Christmas and thank you from one who appreciates your contributions here!

Dude, you need to take a break from TGP...if/when you decide to come back: ask not what TGP can do for you, ask what you can do for TGP.:)
