    THIS!

Also, I saw the commercial for The Serpent and the Rainbow when I saw a kid. The part where Bill Pullman gets the dust blown in his face, he's stumbling around asking bystanders for help, and he says "Don't bury me, I'm not dead!"

I think the bloody cross smeared on his forehead made it creepier. In the context of the movie it's not that scary, but just that clip in the commercial freaked me out.

Also, when Jamie Lee Curtis is clawing her way through the parking lot in Halloween 2.

When I was a kid, I actually got scared at a Scooby Doo episode. Something about a guy who turned old and died within 10 seconds. It freaked me out.

The Thing. My dad let me watch that with him when I was a kid and that freaking head turning into a spider and skittering away traumatized me for years. Really the whole movie did but that scene always stuck with me.

IIRC, that was Kevin Bacon that got a broadhead through the throat.

I don't know the movie, it might have been a Hitchcock thing. There was a scene where a young girl was laying in bed awake and something unknown and unseen at the foot of the bed would slowly pull the blankets down...she'd grab them and pull them back up..."it" would pull them back down...

For me it was "The Boogans". I think I stayed up late at night once when I was young and they showed it on network tv. The tentacles coming up through the drains, and through air returns really messed with me for a long time.

Horrible movie though. I watched it in adulthood and it was laughable.

+1 on Phantasm and the Trilogy of Terror doll! Actually, Phantasm still freaks me out, because it's like being in a nightmare, insofar as a it makes no sense. Seriously. -E

The first Friday The 13th -- scared the living F outta me back in the day. Watched it about a year ago for the first time since the 80's -- laughable,...but, enjoyable.
