What is the best amp I can get for 500-700 dollars?

    Not long after I spent 350 on mine a few months ago, one showed up in the Recycler for 300--of course, I was kickin myself, heheh. Was in good shape, like mine, from what I could tell. There's more to pricing than simply seeing what happened on EBay last week ;).

    There's always a special deal, but that doesn't necessarily reflect the market value. I've been following Ampegs daily on ebay for many months now and have watched the prices slowly climb on desirable models. It's been a while since I've seen VT40s going for less than $400, and these days they are routinely fetching $500.

    I'm still beating myself for selling mine last year. What a fine fine amp that is.

    Not Voxy at all, but I liked the REverend I used to have, and the new price is right in your range... You can still sometimes find a SF Vibrolux Reverb or Deluxe Reverb for $750...
