My next guitar purchase will be the one I've wanted since I was 20 (I'm now 27)...an Olympic White strat with rosewood board and big beefy pickups. My current #1 is the complete opposite of that (black, maple, fralin real 54's). With so many choices from Fender out there as well as smaller builders like Nash and K-Line it's hard to know just what will give me the right guitar. If my finances are shinning when I go to make the purchase a CS masterbuilt is high on my list...chances are I won't spend that much though so I'm looking for input into the, let's say, sub $1800 price range, new or used. Just to be clear, here is what I'd be looking for:

    Olympic White
    Rosewood FB
    Slightly overwound pickups
    Vintage Trem
slight relicing is a plus but not "Needed"
    Nitro Finish
    S/S/S configuration

So chiime in here...what is your fav 60's style strat and why?

Suhr Pro Series is worth considering. It does have a two point Wilkinson/Gotoh bridge, but it "feels" right. Definitely worth a look during your search

thanks for the suggestion! I am really looking for the classic 60's vibe so a bridge HB is not an option :)

I owned a '64 strat for a long time and for my requirements my K-line strat is just amazing.Easily on par with the vintage strat. You can order your guitar from Chris and get it set up to your preferences for about $1300-1500.

The Hot Rod '62 strats are really, really sweet. You should definitely check these out.
