What is the best "vintage correct" p90 for humbucker size route? I was perusing my quiver of guitars and realized I don't have any decent p90 vintage correct tone. I am noticing more of my customers are now using p90s so I want to convert over one of my test guitars, A double fat strat.

I've got a Pair of Z-90s in my McRosie. GREAT pickups. But definitely not Vintage. More Big Single Coil than P-90. However, they are good enough to give a test drive so you have them in your arsenal.

I also have a pair of Z-90s in an SG and they are fantastic. Highly recommended.

I have a Vintage Vibe HB sized P90 in the neck of my Tele......... Very nice indeed. I believe Pete can wind them however you require. Very nice guy to deal with and has decent prices........

I've got one of Pete's HB-sized P90s that I'm about to put into the neck position of my Andersen Archie. My "guess" is that it will be more of a 60s-sounding P90 than a 50s-sounding one. That is to say, more of a BIG Strat sounding vibe... I'll let you know, once I get it in there...

But definitely give Pete a call... great-sounding, very affordable pickups, and Pete's a great guy to deal with.

These sound interesting. I like the idea of being able to tune them by swapping out the mag bars.
Thanks for the input, Please keep the suggestions coming!

How is the tone compared to genuine vintage soapbar P90s?
