OK. Excluding the amazing deals this time. What is the lowest street cost pedal that stays on your board (or in regular use if you don't use a board).

For me, it is the Boss SD-1 used to drive the front of my amps.
I also use a Bad Monkey quite regularly for playing out.

Zoom MS 70-CDR $119 street.

Way I think of my pedal board is:
-2 overdrives each of which has a different flavor and combined can give an actual overdrive sound (they are both mild)
-the Giggity compresses and EQs for guitar switches
-the POG is my pseudo organ until I can find an organ player :)
-RV7 - first extra reverb

The Zoom does anything else I need - modulation, delay, extra extra reverb

Marshall Reflector Reverb. Never given me any problems, does what i need it to, and i've not seen the need to replace it with anything better/ more expensive.

Which do you like better? I am going to get my first overdrive but I don't want to spend a lot of money. I am looking for something that can tighten up an already dirty amp and add volume for solos.

The SD-1 sounds the best, but not alot of volume gain. Which is great for keeping unity volume with some boost. The Bad Monkey has much more gain and more girth(balls) and can be a stand alone OD and the Bass and Treble control puts it in my most versatile camp. It I had to choose only one, it would be the Bad Monkey, but together they are great.

On the used market, probably the Super Chili Picoso or my Barber Barb EQ. New, my Red Witch Voiletta.

Danelectro Transparent Overdrive v1, which I bought used for $35, but isn't that much more new. Then DD-20, Hall of Fame Reverb, Ditto Looper, which all cost more but are still not that expensive. The Transparent Overdrive sounds great, although it has peculiar knob placement.

I have a Behringer delay (used for the Hold mode) on my auxiliary looper / ambient board right next to a Flashback X4.

My main board these days is pretty pedestrian.
Cheapest pedal on that board is a DE-7.

Can't think of a better delay pedal for $40. Blows away pedals I've had that cost 10x that much.
