I'm not talking about that thouse daily lunch specials, but one of those one that they only do like once a week and you probably have to reserve a month in advance or something stupid like that.
And on the flip side, what is the most expensive "regular lunch they have down there?

MY sister lives down there, and I wanted to treat her to a really nice lunch...a $1000 dinner bill would seem like to much of a date

Then lose "most expensive" as your criteria. TGP mindhive, maybe even Chili alone, can advise even better if you're just straightforward about your purpose.

    Does Robuchon do lunch?

Are you sure your sister would enjoy super-posh for the sake of it more than say, Olives, lakeside seating?

    Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure I could buy my sister a nice dinner without her thinking it's a dating opportunity. :huh

Kung pao chicken in the food court at Caesar's Palace is $17.

Went out to lunch once and the soup alone was $30, which prompted my friend to ask the server how they could charge that much for Lipton and broth.

I'm not a big lunch guy particularly when traveling and knowing I'll have a big dinner that night. The chef/owner of Picasso's, Julian Serrano, has a place in Aria that's self-named. Does tapas and some molecular gastronomy. Have had a decent lunch there. Carnevino, one of Batali's places, had a nice leisurely lunch there too. I remember the foie and charcuterie were outstanding.

Definitely Tapas over Foie and cured meats then ... after all, its for a CHICK! ;):rolleyes:

And here's how you can make it the most expensive too. Play enough so that you can impress her by having garcon comp it!

Maybe brunch at Bouchon would be nice. Not the most expensive, I imagine.

Forgot about Bouchon. Excellent choice, great wine list. A little noisy but the patio is great weather permitting.

Giada's is very good for lunch and our favorite spot still is Olive's at Bellagio. Sitting outdoors with the fountains right in front.
