It says "National Electronics", "Made in Germany" and "571A". I'm curious whether these are older or new production. A pair of these came in my Reinhardt JKC33, which I got used.

    Thank you.

Can't say for sure without a photo. Typically, National + Made in Germany means something cheap made in Russia.

Thanks, Mike. I'll see if I can snap something later. It's got a brown base and red lettering. They'll probably be replaced by winged C EL34s anyway.

Base color and lettering never helps. It's what's INSIDE the glass that counts.

    Brown base "could" mean SED.

not sure, but i have shipped a couple of jkc's with siemens el34's, so we def need a picture to make sure. If they are the siemens, they are killer vintage tubes.

Good call Bob. National was a major "rebrander" of "Siemens" (actually RFT) tubes. Not sure I've seen any with brown bases though.

Maybe it's more black than brown:

Yep, those are what's known as "Siemens" EL34s (not 6CA7s really) which were actually made by RFT in East Germany.

Nice sounding tubes and miles ahead of anything made in recent years.

Thanks, Mike. Do you know when RFT produced this type of tube?
