So back in high school I was given Experience Hendrix - The Best of Jimi Hendrix. It had a version of Red House (Track 14) on it that really blew me away. However, I have no idea where this recording was from. I thought it was from Are You Experienced, but it's not. Anyone have any ideas?

You might actually have to go into the iTunes store to take a listen for this. Not sure how to link that! The Apple webpage for this album isn't quite right, away from iTunes.

British release of. AYE had different songs than USA version, including Red House. RH released in USA on Smash Hits comp with somewhat different production. Brit and USA versions of Smash Hits vary also. Brit version had Stars That Play With ....IIRC . AYE artwork is different just as Axis was also.
