Suhr Bella. amazing amp
right now I'm really liking my '61 Fender Pro with a 15" JBL D130F. Two brown bottom Sylvania 5881 power tubes. The cleans with the harmonic trem is hypnotic.
My Allen Old Flame (Avatar pic) with an old JBL D130F is the 6L6 amp for me. Does clean and pushed clean sounds wonderfully. I like to run an impedance mismatch with the JBL to bring the mids forward and round off the top and wattage a bit.
Pure 64 Nytro II...mine was made with 6L6 tubes
For this description a Mesa Boogie Electradyne or the Lones star fits the bill. For High Gain Purposes A Roadster/Roadking for me.
My '68 Blackface Fender Showman head . Great clean or dirt with pedals... both at any volume.
Dr z therapy/zlux/thetapy/ezg, Carr rambler
Soldano SLO / HR100+
Super Reverbs all the way.
I love my '66 TR and '68 Bassman, but my all time favorite 6L6 amp would have to be my '63 Tremolux.
easy stevie.....Vibro King
Loved my EZG 50.
To the above post isn't the Z Lux 6V6?
Sadly the good doc just makes amps that are WAY too loud for anything I will ever need.
Tone King Skying
Friedman Buxom Betty
My two fave relatively new boutique 6L6 amps
My two favorite amps, and I own them both, use 6L6s. Lazy J20 and a Mesa Boogie King Snake. Amazing amps.
My current 6L6 faves that replaced all my Fenders:
Carr Rambler - low to medium volume
Bruno Cowtipper - medium volume
VVT Lindy Fralin 45 - med to high volume
For me, hands down, Mesa Lone Star Classic
Mesa Mark V for everything
See my avatar! Dr. Z Therapy, hands down. Looks nice too, with one of Harvey's valences.
Really loving my Two Rock CRS v1. It has beat out my vintage fenders and other fender/d style amps. It's an amazing sounding amp!
Combo...I vote for either a Fender 4x10 '59 Bassman reissue, a Fender 3X10 '57 Bandmaster, or a Fender VibroKing.
Head...Komet 60, sounds glorious with a pair of RCA 6L6GC blackplates.
