Just your #1 ... not two or three. Just name the one you would HAVE to have if you could only have ONE.

Would love to hear everyones feedback on this. Looking for ideas ...

    Thanks.

Analogman Sundial NKT 275. Or any quality Fuzz Face clone with NKT 275... Germanium = yummy.

I've got lots of the good'uns, but you'd have to do the cold, dead, hand thing to make me give up Timmy. Because it works with ALL my gear, it's not a hard choice to make.

I reserve the right to revise my opinion when my Tim comes in..

MI Audio Blue Boy - it's the best sounding, most versatile dirt box I've come across for my rig. Very hard to choose over my Timmy which is also great, but the BB gets a wider range of tones so it would get the nod...

By distortion wouldnt that eliminate all of the low/medium gain OD's, boost pedals, and Fuzz? So far for me it has been the hot british. I dont consider most of the above as distortion, then again.... tomato tamato. :)

As far as Distortion (not Overdrive) pedals go...

There can be only one - the Keeley Modded RAT - it just plain rocks!

The best also happens to be the cheapest (I think) OD I've owned: Line 6 Crunchtone (one of the Tonecore pedals).

    Well, alright then..

If we are talking *distortion*, then it would clearly have to be

*my* Eternity (I'm convinced Sean diid something funny to it) w/a damaged TLO72ACN op-amp..

I'd also concur - if we are going straight up Distortion pedal - the Keeley Rat takes my cake.

that'd HAVE to be my new pro analog dirt royale w/cheez!!! WHOO-baby, this thing screams! it's kinda ingenius in a lot of ways (scotty was partially aiming for the early tone-pot rat, but with the ability to fold in a fuzz; it really is very sneaky), & there seems to be no end to the ways i can tweak it; and they're all good!

i'd go with the Hot British as it does the best high gain distortion I'd ever heard. However, seeing as it only does that.... mayhap the tonebone tri-mode
