What do you stomp on when you wanna just rock out LOUD?
I love my Hot British. I prefer that thing to anything else I've tried, including the highly-touted BJF EGDM
crunch box for booootik
the goold old DS-1. bloody love that thing.
Diamond Fireburst w/mid boost on.
Close second: Maxon SD-9 with Analog Man Super mod.
B K Butler reissue Tube Driver with a 12at7 tube....
MI Audio Tube Zone III
Barber Direct Drive with custom shop mod board.
I would have to go with my DAM Sonic Titan. Extremely sensitive to your pick attack and just so many sounds....from overdrive to distortion and so so dynamic. Great pedal.
Barber Small Fry Burn Unit.
I´m not so experienced in pedals but I love the BJF DynaRed in front of a Plexi or a ClassA tube amp
I've got a 3 knob MI Audio Tubezone, though based on some clips the Tonebone Classic seems like it would be one heck of a pedal for distortion.
I've often wondered if the Small Fry and Crunchbox are similar pedals--hotrodded Marshall style.
I would say that the Small Fry is more of a Fendery, refined overdrive. But I run mine into a JTM45, so it all works out in the end.
Especially in low volume situations, I've never heard anything better.
Not a popular choice, but I go to my Fulltone Distortion Pro for high gain wanking.
Out off all the high priced pedals I owned I'm digging the Marshall Guvnor 2 Plus the most, and it only cost me $59!
With an amp that's already driving there's nothing like the /13 Dyna-ranger.
With a clean amp the Fuzz Head rocks. Sounds great with an amp that's driving too though.
With my ASAT (or Tele), it's the Hotcake. With the Legacy (or Strat), I like the OCD.
Metal Muff :AOK
MI Audio Tube Zone.
I've tried the G2D Morpheus, DNA Gain Fxxker, the Keeley modded MT-2. Nothing comes even close.
