I first listened Scofield's A Go Go album and I really liked it, and of course I still do.

I recently discovered his version of My Foolish Heart from 2010 concert, and I'm really hooked at his "quieter" moments. I bought A Moment's Piece, and I can tell that this album is one of my favorites.

So..John has quite lists of his works, and let's talk about his music!

What is your favorite Scofield album??

I'd probably have to say A go go but only because I know how to play a few of the tunes on that album and they're lots of fun to play.

For just listening, it depends on mood. I like Up All Night. A Moments Piece is great too.

I dont have any except some Miles Davis albums with him on there. Oh I have one with Pat Metheney. I dont really like it. Weird, cause I admire both of them.

    Saudades, with Goldings and DeJohnette

Or Shinola. Oh, and Solar with Abercrombie. I really like John on some hip changes, the funk stuff gets really boring to me after a while.

Blue Matter. I love the funky-fusion playing he displayed in his playing and composition, and the rhythm section of Dennis Chambers and Gary Grainger is unsurpassed. I've got a few of his other albums including A Go-Go which is fantastic also, but Blue Matter is "the one."

I love so much of his work from different eras, genres, etc but I think Time On My Hands is my favorite album of his. Terrific playing from Scofield, Lovano, DeJohnette and Haden and the compositions are great too.

I'll have to go with A Go Go since it's the only one I've heard! Really good understated stuff though.
