What kind of Celestion speakers would get me closest to this sound?

I think Lita Ford has great tone on this album. This was recorded in 1984. I'm thinking the speakers are either Celestion Greenbacks or G12-65. But they could be something else. Which speakers do you think would sound the closest to this? I know Vintage 30s hadn't been invented yet. Anyway it sounds like they are really cranked. In the studio she played all of the guitar parts.

Hard to say, but sounds a bit tighter than I would expect from 25s. Most likely 65s or something else tighter. Its such a small, part of that tone, it is hard to nail down exactly which it is.

if you are serious id say JCM 800 through a G12-65 loaded cab. Sounds pretty much 80's sounds like a strat to me as well.

Yeah, didn't you know? Get the same sound out of my old Jensen Triax 6X9's from high school.

I'd say you're right about the amp and cab. But I'm pretty sure she played a B.C. Rich 24 and 5/8 scale with a DiMarzio super distortion at the bridge and a DiMarzio PAF at the neck. I have the amp. I was just wondering which cab would sound the best.

Now what was available at the time... G12M Greenbacks, G12H Greenbacks, G12-65s and G12-80s... My vote is for one of the latter ones
