What kind of re-branded tubes did Marshall amps come with in the 80s?

    What kind of re-branded tubes did Marshall amps come with in the 80s?

    Any clue?

    Most particularly the Jubilees?

    Preamp tubes in the early '80s were usually Tungsram. I don't think I've seen a post-'85 Marshall with the original power tubes (they went back to EL34s worldwide in 1986), but I think RFT ("Siemens") was the only company still making them then.

    From what I recall from the eighties... Siemens for power and Tungsram as mentioned above.

    I just bought a #786 Jubilee 2x12 combo, and from the looks of it....it has the original power tubes and at least two of the original preamp tubes.

    They sounded good to me.......but are they any good? Just curious, I guess.
