What Kind Of Speaker Is This?

    this was taken out of a 64-65 bassman cabinet it has no label or anything, but it has these numbers on it.

    I'm gonna say Pyle speaker manufactured 45th week of 1965.

    what in the serial number tells you this?

    1098 is the code for Pyle ( check out the info on the Weber page ) The next numbers are the year and week.
    I could be wrong, but I see 545, which I take to mean 1965, week 45.

    Actually, since Pyle is still in business it could be 65, 76, 85 or 95 (although most 80s speakers started to list the whole date).

    I don't think Pyle was around in '65 and Fender certainly didn't use them.
