    This is a foolish thread, but I think the word "genius" gets thrown around a little too loosely, especially in the pop/rock world.

    There might be a half-dozen or so, and Alice Cooper is probably not one of them. <g>

    Can't name just one.

    Steve Morse, Stevie Wonder, Zappa, Stravinsky, Coltrane, Shorter, Chopin, Beethoven, John Mclaughlin are the biggest names that come to mind.

    More recently, Bjork, and Trent Reznor continually impress me.
