What overdrive pedal for this tone...?

    The Clark Gainster is an outstanding choice for that sound. I have one myself (Barber manufactured version) and it's absolutely one of the best ODs I've ever tried. It's also capable of other tones as well and is very transparent. Highly recommended.

    sickboy, would you say that the Gainster has a mid hump? I can't really seem to find a definitive answer on this.

    timmy does it better than anything i have tried. it's like plug and play keef. i think it's the 'raw' clipping. second choice is a keeley bd2.

    +1 on the timmy. this was the exact tone i got from my timmy when i plugged it in. couldn't believe.
