Pitch shift vibrato in a pedal?

I had a univibe clone, and I was in love with the vibrato side. I am looking for a tremolo/vibrato pedal that can do the detune-warble thing to the signal, not necessarily a univibe.

Is that sound exclusive to the opto-style univibe?

I have tried "the clone theory" and chorus-vibrato is not what I want. I want dry, non-delayed, pitch shift vibrato.

Diamond is coming out with a true pitch shifting vibrato later this year.

Nothing yet beats the old BOSS VB-2 IMHO.

Based on the clips, I would say the EH Wiggler, but I have never tried it as I'm not a fan of the proprietary power supply...

    Me either; recommend something small?
For VB-2 money, might as well get an Aquavibe.

The BBE Mind Bender has a dedicated, VB-2 clone side. The VB-2 is great, but prices are getting pretty outrageous for 'em. The Univibe setting in the Digitech EX-7 also does the pitch bend vibe thing to a tee. I had a Wiggler a while back, and, although it is definitely an excellent pedal, it did not and could not really nail the Univibe pitch bend...close, but no cigar. The Wiggler isn't really supposed to do that, though, if I remember correctly.

I haven't played a Aquavibe yet, but none of the vibes pedals I have tried do exactly the same type of vibrato the VB-2 has. For the money check out B.Y.O.C.'s Vibrato, also you can buy it preassembled from Axeandyoushallreceive. There is a link to them on the B.Y.O.C website.
