Which pedal do you own, or have used or owned in the past, that brings you the most joy, or the most inspiration?

You can name multiple pedals, or if something is inspiring to you in a particular instance describe that...

I recently played a Strymon El Capistan at a local store, and couldn't walk away. There were so many usable controls, and so many ways to enhance a riff, I thought it was incredibly inspirational. I don't own one, but if I can save an extra $300 this summer, that may change.

The Space can keep my attention for quite a while, and has been the catalyst for several songs.

My Belle Epoch is very inspirational, but from a song writing tool, I must submit my Jamman Stereo looper.

For me, it's my Eventide H9 - so many different sounds out of that pedal.

Years ago when I used modeling amps I would say a Looper was my most inspirational because I could get any tone by myself without having to hunt for a lot of gear while all the while being a one man band. When I became more tonally aware (for better or worse) I found that I wanted a great amp (clean) and the ability to add distortion/overdrive/fuzz at any volume. I've been through literally dozens of pedals that do this or that or were super hyped or the best kept secret. Really. Lots of pedals, lots of money. I ended up finding the piece of gear that was the missing link between me and the rest of what I wanted to hear/play/be as a guitarist. That pedal is the Green Vodka Muff by McCaffrey Audio. It's the most versatile and tonally pleasing pedal that I've used and includes one all-important element: Expression. It's not just a pedal that changes your sound, I swear it's an instrument you play.

I'm a huge proponent in owning a DARN good dirt pedal. This one is perfectly transparent and can be the edge or the lightning bolt of breakup. Every time I stop that beautiful green box I'm transported to the land of happiness and bliss and winning lottery tickets.

I get my juices flowing pretty well with the trusty Strymon Timeline.

Eventide H9 using Space, Pitchfactor and Timefactor Algos plus the UltraTap Algo exclusive to the H9.

PTD Minibone can do so much from OD, Fuzz, Ring Mod type sounds.

Those three together lead to hours of playing. Honorable mention for the Neo Instruments Ventilator 2.

It's a toss up between my MF Ring & LovePedal Vibronaut as each can be dialed in to sit back in the mix while still providing distinctive tonal colorations.

3 way tie between my Whammy 5, EHX Deluxe Memory Boy, and Fulltone Ultimate Octave.

The Whammy makes playing alone at home infinitely more fun. The ability to add an octave down for impact, or to mix in bass lines on a six string, can turn a 15 minute noodle session into an hour long jam. :dude

Ditto Looper. It reminds me of the joy of playing guitar like I was first into it.
