Im looking to swap the pickups in my LP standard and am looking for something just a bit hotter than most PAF copies. I'm considering The burstbucker 2/3 combo or the duncan JB/jazz combo. Anyone here with comments/recommendations? Thanks!

I've got both burstbucker 2/3's and a Duncan customcustom, and to my ear they are quite a bit hotter than my Holmes PAF repros. If it were me, I'd call or email Fralin, WCR, SD, maybe Wolfetone and ask 'em. I'm sure Duncan has something for you too, but I'm not sure which. BTW, I think the BB 2/3 sound pretty darnded good in my GarryMoore LP, but they're pretty hot. Good luck!

Rio Grande BBQ bucker for the bridge and Texas Humbucker in the neck. I'm sure you can get something from Fralin, Lollar and the rest also!
