I put a set of Seth Lovers in my ES-335. They sound....okay. A bit bland. Better than the stock pickups, but just not inspiring. I've played with heights and pole pieces and it just isn't working.

The Collings I35 models with the Lollar Low Winds sound sweet.

Looking for a pickup set that will help a great playing guitar sound great -- from rock to blues to jazz.

    What are you using?

Man, I think Seth Lovers are the tits in a semi-hollow body. Have you tried adjusting them? Seriously, Seth Lovers are a great pickup.

I have them in my SG and I think they sound generic in that too. I love Antiquities but the Seths are not doing it for me.

    Weird huh?

Love Antiquities too. I liked the Antiquities better in solid bodies and the Seths in Semi-Hollow - weird huh?

If you like low wind Lollar's so much why not go with those?

I also use Seth Lovers and they sound great. Best bang-for-buck in PAF clones, IMO.

But if you like the Lollar Low-Wind pickups, then try those.

I use a set of Monty's PAF's with Throbak Nickel covers. There in the same vein as the Lollar low winds with I also think would work.

What about WCR Godwoods? I was thinking of replacing my 57's and was going to try some Seth Lovers but was also considering something from WCR.

I really like the '57 Classics in mine. They've just got this lovely honk to 'em.

Gee, Seth Lovers in my Heritage 535 and I think they sound much better than the 57 classics that were in my 335, although the guitar actually matters and not everything sounds as good from one particular instrument to the next and may not be the best fit for your 335. I have Lollar low winds in my Collings Soco and they sound really good in that guitar, but I still really like Seth Lovers.
