I have had my gibson ES-135 gothic for some time, but dont play it all too often. Problem is, its really dark sounding. I attribute this to the pickups, and after having them adjusted helped a little bit, its still a bit too dark.

What pickups would be a good match? I play rock/modern worship with it through a vox AC15 (shannon helios/shannon oxide/coming soon OCD v.4 are my dirt).

Any and all thoughts are appreciated.

I'm assuming the pickups that came with it are those Gibson Ceramics.

Try a Duncan 59B in the bridge, and a Duncan Jazz in the neck. That should brighten it right up, and keep you on a good budget too.
