Hello fello TGP'ers, looking for some power tube recomendations for a Peavey VTM60 with 518V plate voltage. I have been researching a lot of tubes, especially KT-66's. Should I be worried about max voltage handling? After much research I am leaning toward Valve Arts, Shuaguang, or JJ KT-66. I would be playing mostly metal and rock on this amp, and occasionally blues.

Valve Arts ARE Shuguang with a different name printed on them.

Not sure I'd trust any of these at 518Vplate. Safest bet, any NOS 6L6GC. Next possibility, SED 6L6GCs.

Don't forget the old 7027s, not sure about the new ones.

My old Univox 1221 runs 640Vp on a pair of 6L6GC's, currently Svet's, no problem. The screen voltage is down around 600, which keeps the amp nicely under control. However, these amps don't exactly overtax the power section even at 10...they push it very nicely, lotta great overtones, moderate compression, and a light helping of dirt, but not close to maxed out.

Thats a bummer, I was really liking the sound of those KT66's.

There is another option or two..the new Genelex Gold Lion KT66 will work, aforementioned NOS 6L6GC's, NOS 7581As too. Just pay attention to your bias settings and you'll find something to suit your needs.
