1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Right now I run a Fender with Fralins thru a Ts-808 and a RMC1 Wah thru a Blues Jr.
I want to buy another pedal, I play Blues and Jazz.
What else do I need, I was thinking about a Uni-vibe pedal, for that Hendrix, SRV tinge.

How much do those run for?
And do the Fulltone Mini Deja need a adapter or can you use batteries?
I was also thinking a 70's Fuzz from Fulltone, I saw one here for $100.
    So right now its this
    Fuzz
    Uni-Vibe
    Tremelo.

    They are $1100 new.

I've got a terrible case of GAS for one right now but I don't want a divorce.

Ha! Tell me about it. I tried to convince my wife to buy me one for my 30th birthday. No go. I just ordered a Memory Lane recently, so that will have to do for now.

Delay, yeah! Any kind of delay really fills out guitar solos. If you're a rhythm player, I've always liked the phase shifter.

in that case check out some BJF stuff. Or you could get a low-pass filter from Moog, or the ringmod. Also you might wanna' look into some ZVex stuff. The Vexter series is more affordable and sounds the EXACT same minus the nice paintjob :) Look into the Vexter box of rock or fuzz factory.

The Magic Boy looks intresting, anyone try it, can it give you that long Hendrix Machine Gun tone?

    Hey tex,
I've got a Magicboy. For such a small package, there's quite a lot of great tone going on. It can totally get you the machine gun tone depending on how set the internal trimpot. It's surprising how many tones you can get with even the slightest turn of the trimpot. I highly recommend this pedal. Sounds great with dirtboxes as well.

I got more out of a 90 minute lesson from a Berklee grad than I ever did out of gear.

    Now stop that!

    Heh heh.

Good advice actually we could all take to heart.

    *pause*

    Now back to the gear!

I had the Magic Boy, but didn't like it. Mine sounded too watery and phase-y, no matter how much I adjusted the trim pot inside or turned the big chrome knob.
Traded it for one of these, and it's a much more organic, natural-sounding vibe (to my ears).

TTE - or a Matchless RV-1. Cost a ton - but worth it.
