hugely inappropriate !.... yet so quotable " "...as the careless prostitute asked, after her unusual interaction with the perverted proverbial bishop!
A smaller, slightly more bitter rat?I can totally see it, but I have no idea what it is.
It looks like a big paper-in-oil capacitor, maybe with a really high voltage rating?
This part IS the tone.I played it today. I A/B'ed it with the R2Du rack Rat. They sound very close, and indistinguishable in regard to preference in a blind test. I don't think the part in question affects the tone.
A rat that comes with pesticide? When you search for "proco ho-de-01" on Google a patent application for pesticide comes up lol
Not collectible? Tell that to Josh Scott...That is a 2 transistor 4 diode Proco Rat 2, right before they switched to using 3PDT, schematic below.
The two extra diodes and transistor are in the On/Off LED indicator circuitry, green color in the schematic below.
The two sound clipping diodes are replaced by a small package with LEDs for Turbo Rat or Diodes for standard Rat.
Probably was more expensive to manufacture the package than just to solder the diodes/LEDs so they stopped using this package very quickly.
Sorry to disappoint, this RAT is not special and is not a "collectible" that costs a million dollars.
