what to clean a guitar with?

    My pickup covers and bridge are no longer shiny and new looking....what can I clean them with to make them shine again??

    I've heard WD-40 works well. Do not get any of this into the wiring or innards of the pickup.

    Use lint-free cotton, such as an old T-shirt that has been washed a lot. Or flannel.

    Elbow grease.

    You can also look for a high-quality metal polish. I wish I could recommend something specific.

    I can understand trying to keep a guitar looking nice. Now, cleaning out the inside of your car, that's just crazy...

    Seriously, get some Flitz Metal Polish (paste). A little 1.7 ounce tube costs about $8.00USD and will last a lifetime. You can get it on eBay easily.:)
