My wife just bought a rug for the living room.

"Why ? " I asked " The hardwood in the living room is the nicest floor in the house, and you want to cover it up ?"

"It will make the room more cozy." She said.

"More like something for me to trip over ." I said.

"OK, well how much was that new Overdrive pedal ?" she asked
    "Never mind." I say

I guess we have different views on how to spend $100 :)

I think the obvious answer to your question, is hookers and blow. But, with only $100 it's gonna be brief, so you may need to consider crystal meth.

Let me know if you need anymore financial assistance.

Blackstar ID:Core 10... Coolest sounding mini amp I've ever played. The stereo reverb w/ the crunch setting is incredible.

At least your wife knows it is an overdrive pedal, rather than a silly guitar thingy.

I just got a $100 gift card from GC for going over to their new store in Westlake and giving my opinion. I then got an email from Ernie Ball telling me that GC was selling six sets of Super Slinky strings for $19.00. Went to GC and bought a six pack and a Phase 90 and have three dollars left on my gift card.

Of course, when I got it my wife said, "Don't you already have a pedal?"

I think an overdrive pedal on the hardwood floor would actually really tie the room together...

If the rug makes her happy it's worth the cost.

Rondo has some B-stock guitars for under $100...

Early this week my wife wanted to know why I needed to buy a fuzz pedal. It came in the same day she received a big order of crafting supplies and a new pair of shoes.

Tell her the overdrive pedal won't work good on the rug so the rug has to go...

It's a 5 by 7 foot rug - I could get a bunch of velcro - turn the new rug into a giant pedal board.

Anyways, I will get used to the rug, I am sure - it just struck me funny, as it would never occur to me to buy a rug, to go in front of the coach "for a more cozy atmosphere."

As a side note - sometimes, when I string pedals together, and she is nearby - she will step on them "just to see how the sounds change."

    So that is something :)

Blow her mind, buy a big candle that goes with the room. Then go buy some hand tools or something else you want, it will appear you are into "Cozy" and you get something too.

Yeah, but does the rug tie the room together? For a hundred bucks, I say donuts for everyone!
