I found a nice replacement, so now what do I do with a dead Yamaha KX88 that can't be repaired?

What's wrong with it that it can't be repaired?
Mainly it's 35 years old so no parts. I cleaned all the contacts with deoxit and it worked perfectly for 2 days, then went back to the random wind chime effect. The dealer's repair guy says the battery going dead would not cause this problem, and the other parts are proprietary from Yamaha, which means no parts.

So nobody really knows what's wrong, but nobody believes it can be fixed.

It’s amazing what can be repaired and some great keyboard, PA, and amp repair people keep tons of old stuff and could find parts.

At least Yamaha isn’t rare and they’re the biggest keyboard synth maker in the world.

You can kick it. Or hit it with a stick. Or burn it, run it over, feed it to bears and then bury it. There's still lots of fun to be had with it.
