I have a recent post here about choosing mics. I have chosen them and am set on what I'm getting (2 of the 4 are on the way.) My next question is what to use to actually record. I have Cubase on my laptop, so anything compatible with that will work. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on this device. It is only for recording demo tracks and things like that. A friend recommended the Mackie Satellite Digital Recording device. I've also heard very good things about the Firepod. Both of these are in my price range. Now I'm turning to you guys to see what you recommend me.

    Thanks

I have the Motu 8pre and it has worked well for me. Not sure if it's good with Cubase, you'll have to check that out.
